Our Skinfolks Are Not Always Our Kinfolks
This picture Speaks Volumes: Our skinfolk are not always
our kinfolk.
The Cote d'Ivoire president Alassane Ouattara and the Africom commander General Michael Langley. History tells us that they always use one of us to infiltrate us. When are we going to stop focusing on greed driven personal gains? When are we going to start thinking about our collective interests? When are we going to go back to our foundational values of Ubuntu and Agbajowo? As long as we focus on capitalism, there will always be those who will betray us. The dangling of trinkets and mirrors has been core reason why Africa is where it is today. The proximity to whiteness is more valuable to some, than protecting the interests of their people. Africa is at a critical moment. Collective gains within our community's or personal gains? Ubuntu: "I am because you are, you are because I am." Agbajo owo la fin soya ajeji owo kan ko gbe eru de ori" translates to "It is a combination of hands that we should use; one hand cannot adequately lift a load to the head."
